Welcome to Shop Haiti 2025!

There’s a lyric in the third stanza of O Holy Night that goes:

Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother;

And in His name all oppression shall cease

Oppression comes in many forms, through many devices: war, economic inequality, social injustice: we see them all in Haiti, magnified and combined, a complex ecosystem of suffering.

We also know that Haiti is not alone. There is war in many places. There are families worrying about putting food on the table all over the globe. Even in the West, the social thread seems to be wearing thin, and economic anxiety is on the rise.

Whether you’re in Haiti or the United States or elsewhere, things might feel tough this holiday season, and odds are good that there are forces bigger than you (bigger than any one person) that are at the root of that feeling.

But we must believe that in time, all oppression shall cease. We must play our own parts, small as they may be, and each contribute in our own way, to our own ability.

It is our task to bring hope, and in giving it to others we find more of it in ourselves.

One way you can bring hope to a Haitian family this year is through Shop Haiti. When you order a Christmas gift from one of these organizations, know that it’s more than just another purchase.

  • You’re engaging with an economy desperate for your investment.

  • You’re supporting small businesses that provide good jobs and meaningful work where those things are hard to come by.

  • You’re sending a message to a Haitian artisan, crafter, or creator that their work is valued and appreciated.

Your purchase, no matter the size, will be a small victory in the ongoing fight against oppression and poverty.To the Haitian staff at these businesses, it is a lifeline. It matters immensely. And it’s one more step in the direction of that Holy Night.

It’s always a good time to pick something up from the Heartline Shop! All revenue is reinvested back into Heartline programs, which means you’re supporting the mission when you order a unique gift (or something for yourself). See a few bestsellers on the right, or check out our full collection!
