Children’s Education

In Haiti, even primary school can be prohibitively expensive.

Forced to choose between meeting basic survival necessities and sending their children to school, many families cannot afford the cost of education.

Heartline’s student sponsorship program began in 2010 with a few students from Cité Soleil. Today, we have 68 students of all grade levels enrolled in the program (plus 13 more students in postsecondary education through our Scholarship Fund), and manage partnerships with a variety of schools throughout greater Port-au-Prince!

These students will continue to have their tuition paid through graduation and, if interested and qualified, the completion of university or trade school!
